I was a big fan of the original 24 and I badly wanted to like this. <br/><br/>The raw concept was okay although it could be criticized as a tad formulaic and predictable by the end of it. But that wasn't the main problem.<br/><br/>It honestly felt like the casting was done by a director that was desperately trying to appear diverse - (CTU agent & tech nerd gay couple, Indian techie agent), the Indian tech agent, the black main lead, and the villain with too much eye make-up. Either one or a few would have been fine - but all simultaneously makes it seem all too artificial. This coupled with it's blatant product placement (close- up Samsung phone shots so frequently!) all indicate one thing - either the studio called the shots, or the producer/director lost his balls - proverbially speaking of course, don't mean to offend anyone's notion of gender equality there! << - That is exactly what 24 Legacy is - it's like Jack Bauer's 24 accidentally shagged Beverly Hills 90210 and out came a rainbow unisex baby.
